Package: xmms-singit Version: 0.1.28+dfsg-1 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable
After installing & enabling the xmms-singit package, XMMS starts taking 99% CPU usage (according to top). Even when XMMS is doing nothing (ie started up but not started playing music). This load also causes XMMS and the X system to become unresponsive (if I don't kill it fast enough under X I have to switch over to a text terminal to kill XMMS since X becomes unusable). This makes xmms-singit unusable for me. Also, trying to disable the xmms-singit plugin in the XMMS configuration window causes XMMS to crash. I have to remove the xmms-singit package to get a usable XMMS. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-4-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_ZA, LC_CTYPE=en_ZA (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages xmms-singit depends on: ii libc6 2.3.6.ds1-13 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libghttp1 1.0.9-17 original GNOME HTTP client library ii libglib1.2 1.2.10-17 The GLib library of C routines ii libgtk1.2 1.2.10-18 The GIMP Toolkit set of widgets fo ii libid3-3.8.3c2a 3.8.3-6 Library for manipulating ID3v1 and ii libogg0 1.1.3-2 Ogg Bitstream Library ii libvorbis0a 1.1.2.dfsg-1.2 The Vorbis General Audio Compressi ii libvorbisfile3 1.1.2.dfsg-1.2 The Vorbis General Audio Compressi ii libx11-6 2:1.0.3-7 X11 client-side library ii libxext6 1:1.0.1-2 X11 miscellaneous extension librar ii libxi6 1:1.0.1-4 X11 Input extension library ii libxml2 2.6.27.dfsg-1 GNOME XML library ii ttf-bitstream-v 1.10-7 The Bitstream Vera family of free ii xmms 1:1.2.10+20061101-1etch1 Versatile X audio player ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3-13 compression library - runtime xmms-singit recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
