Okay. I managed to --force-depends install libgl1-mesa-dri_6.5.2-4, libgl1-mesa-dri-dbg_6.5.2-4 and libdrm2_2.3.0-4. This surprisingly gave me working hardware acceleration, although with severe graphical errors. trackballs still shows the same behaviour, here is a backtrace: Core was generated

Hm, okay. This definitely looks like a i915 bug, but perhaps I can work around it. Could you possibly try installing the libgl1-mesa-dri package from unstable and seeing if the bug is still present? If so, could you also try rebuilding the trackballs with debugging symbols by following the
