I just tested with the latest and greatest xorg in testing. Behavior is
slightly different now:
$ lspci
Controller 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Silicon Motion, Inc.

xorg is trying to drive this graphics card with a neomagic driver now,
which of course fails.
