This is already happening.
I guess we'll remove it on gcc-4.3 :-)

As can be witnessed from the build logs on buildd.d.o[1], gcc-4.2
produces an ICE when trying to build pbx_dundi.c on hppa.
The log doesn't show the gcc arguments (upstream Makefiles have the pretty
build feature, disabled in our trunk). These
