Hi, This bug does seem to be fixed in that the .htaccess file is written nicely. However, I had to change the AllowOverride setting in the apache.conf in /etc/serendipity/ for apache to pay any attention to the .htaccess file.
I don't know if this is an issue for fresh installs, but before I did that, changing the mod_rewrite "broke" most of the formatting as before. Thanks for all your work! CT.
