I have just played some music in a AMD64 3000+ machine.
It plays fine, no glitches.
So, in my dual-core AMD64 X2-4200 - glitches
in my mono-core AMD64 3000+ - no glitches

related to gstreamer. Xmms, mplayer etc didnt produce any jittering at all.
