I'm maintaining the mugshot-package (at the moment outside of the main debian-archive due to questions regarding the mugshot-trademark). I'd like to build this against hippocanvas in the archive, but it would be quite easier if you included /usr/lib/pkgconfig/hippo-canvas-1.pc in the development-package.
