I also encountered this problem after a recent upgrade --- my .profile exec's another more preferred shell, which causes gdm's Xsession to bail out entirely. Is there any good reason for gdm's Xsession to source ~/.profile? It is very contrary to the principle of least surprise: nothing else other

Package: gdm Version: 2.20.2-1 Severity: important After today's upgrade, no matter which session I try to start, gdm fails to start that session and starts the Failsafe xterm session instead. I can manually start gnome-session and it works, but it will not start automatically. So far, I haven'
