uploaded the fixed package.
I'm not against NMUs but I really don't like if someone uploads the
fixed package without even simple testing. It is really nice if NMU

This bug is the record of the (well, proposed) NMU patch and should not have
been closed in upload, as that makes the bug a candidate for archival...
