Video card: Mobility Radeon 9600 M10 I use a custom 2.6.23 kernel, and compile the fglrx driver from the kernel module source package. Up until the previous version (8.44.3-1), it worked perfectly. I find that now the module loads (as evinced by lsmod | grep fglrx), but there is no 3D acceleration.
