Using pyxplot without python-scipy seems to be a valid --
also not recommended -- way of using pyxplot.

pyxplot gives a nice warning in this case:

        Warning: The scipy numerical library for python is
        not installed. Without this, some features in
        PyXPlot will be disabled, including the spline and
        fit commands, and the integration of functions. To
        enable these features, install scipy and try again.

The Policy Manaul about Recommends:

     `Recommends'
          This declares a strong, but not absolute,
          dependency.

          The `Recommends' field should list packages that
          would be found together with this one in all but
          unusual installations.

So could you please consider using "Recommends" for
python-scipy?
