The proprietary Omnikey driver does not support the libhal scheme [1]
but only the old libusb one. Since it is proprietary and we do not
have the source code we can't fix it.
The next version of pcsc-lite will use the libusb scheme if loading
the driver using the libhal scheme fails. The

I have the same problem with the 5321 and had contact with the vendor.
The explanation is simple:
PCSC-Lite in Version 1.4.100 now seems to use hotplug_libhal.c by default
instead of hotplug_libusb.c which was used in earlier versions.
To avoid this message and to force pcscd to use
