Package: openvpn
Version: 2.1~rc7-3
Followup-For: Bug #486129

Hello,

I have similar problems on *two* systems and its really annoying because
openvpn is a day-to-day application. I know that this problem is spread
along several other people, as well.

On connect openvpn asks for the pass phrase up to 4 (!) times.
The first three times the prompt looks like this:

Enter pass phrase for /etc/openvpn/schoenfeld.key:

It is *not* relevant, what I type into this prompt, the tunnel is
created as long as I enter the right password in the last promt.
But interesting enough: If I enter the right passphrase to the first
questions it gets repeated two times. Once I enter a false passphrase
it moves on to the right passphrase question.

It seems unrelated to openvpn-vulnkey. I suspected that it could be the
orignator of the problem, but commenting it out and recompiling openvpn
did not help.

Please fix this in-time for lenny, because its likely to annoy of users.

Regards,
Patrick
