Package: iceweasel Version: 3.0.1-1 Severity: normal When a tab or window containing an embedded video being handled by mozilla-mplayer (mplayerplug-in) is closed, firefox crashes. I'm using mozilla-mplayer 1:3.55-0.0 and mplayer 1:1.0.rc2svn20080531-0.1 from debian-multimedia.org. I tried downgrading mozilla-mplayer to the stable version (3.40) but that made no difference. I've observed the problem with iceweasel 3.0 rc2 and 3.0.1. The plug-in worked fine with iceweasel 2.x. It doesn't seem to matter how the video is embedded (I've tried both <object> and <iframe>), but there is no problem if the mplayer occupies the whole window (the location bar contains the URL of the video).
I tried to get a backtrace but was unable.
