Therefore do show them like apt-file apt-show-source apt-show-versions cmap-adobe-cns1 cmap-adobe-gb1 cmap-adobe-japan1 cmap-adobe-japan2 cmap-adobe-korea1... just like the other places in aptitude where you print names of lots of packages. The pros can deal with that new way, but the non-pros can't deal with the info flying off the screen too far.
