Hi,

the issue appeared after upgrading to Lenny, but might not be related
to the sole upgrade (not sure it happened immediately afterwards, as
it's been several months).

What I can add to the symptoms is that keys get "mapped" differently.
"AltGr" acts as "return", the arrows, pgup/down don't trigger
anything, ... Very pesky. I think it mostly happens when I launch a
new Gnome Terminal process.

Whether in normal operation mode or in the above case, the commands
mentioned in this bug report yield:
gisquet@cuba #11:23:51# #~/src
$ gconftool-2 -R /desktop/gnome/peripherals/keyboard/kbd
 layouts = []
 options = []
 model = dellm65
gisquet@cuba #11:23:52# #~/src
$ xprop -root|grep XKB
_XKB_RULES_NAMES_BACKUP(STRING) = "evdev", "a4techKB21", "fr", "",
"terminate:ctrl_alt_bksp"
_XKB_RULES_NAMES(STRING) = "evdev", "dellm65", "fr", "",
"terminate:ctrl_alt_bksp"

I don't know how to produce the above list of installed packages.
Although my install is up-to-date as of the writing of the mail, as I
used external apt sources and pinning in the past (no obvious trace of
them in the system), I'd feel safer to provide such a list.
