currently, when a reconnection occurs (be it a server reboot or a cable unplug/replug+using network-manager), the chat window is moved to the current workspace, which is pretty annoying. I'm having this under Xfce, if that may be of some help, which I configured so that applications don't steal focus, etc. So I doubt the WM is at fault here. Thanks for considering.
