When you open Setting window in the top menu of Synaptic (Setting, Setting) and you make change of some items, the next confirmation by respective bottom is due to stuck Synaptic and 100% Cpu load. Other ranned aplication aren't affected. I thing the reason is in waiting for root privilegies throught the Gksu.
