Doesn't the SASL support take care of this?
It doesn't - as I understand it, SASL won't authenticate the server to the
client and won't encrypt the traffic either. It's just a way for the server
to authenticate the client.
I would also welcome ssl/tls support in svnserve (and the client).

In the meantime I suppose you could rig something up with stunnel4.
That would take care of the server side, but what about the client
side? I doubt the svn client supports TLS when the server doesn't
support it.

Hi,
Could SSL/TLS support be added to svnserve? I run svnserve in daemon mode and
would like to avoid a TCP tunnel via SSH.
