Package: pbzip2
Version: 1.0.2-0
Severity: wishlist

Since pbzip2 is drop in replacement for bzip2, please provide
/etc/alternatives method to select default bzip2 for the system.

Ths way the pbzip2 could become the preferred method of system bzip2,
if admin so chooses. No scripts would need to be chnaged to make use
of the added performance.

EXAMPLES:

    $ update-alternatives --list bzip2
    /usr/bin/bzip2.original
    /usr/bin/pbzip2

    $ update-alternatives --config bzip2
    There are 2 alternatives which provide `bzip2'.

      Selection    Alternative
    -----------------------------------------------
              1    /usr/bin/bzip2.original
    *+        2    /usr/bin/pbzip2
