The package still ships the old file.
You should have written some code to properly rename the file, not
just installed a new one.
Also do not forget that connfiles need to be deleted manually by
packages.

with the new module-init-tools in unstable, all files in /etc/modprobe.d
should end with .conf. At the moment, libpisock9 contains a file there
without the extension, so modprobe spits (at lot of time) warning about
