I have the same problem. I doesn't happen only when I go away. As soon as I log in and pidgin tries to connect, it crashes. I use a HSDPA connection, so as long as I'm offline everything works fine. If I start the connection and try to connect on pidgin, it crashes. I have 3 accounts: msn

Please provide further information to help locate your problem - Which accounts do you have on pidgin (i.e., which protocols)? Does this _only_ happen when you are away, or have you seen any other crash? How often has this happened? When did it start? I know it is a tough call, but we must get

Package: pidgin Version: 2.5.5-1 Severity: important I use KDE. Pidgin works fine but if I'm away from pc (about 30min with screen locked) pidgin crash. I start it in terminal and when I'm back: Pidgin 2.5.5 has segfaulted and attempted to dump a core file.
