no stacktrace -- although i could reproduce it twice with
/etc/init.d/network-manager start
(always the first attempt after boot -- all subsequent starts work)
doing
gdb /usr/sbinNetworkManager
started just fine.
if there's a way to make ntework-manager put out a stacktrace when started
via ini

As there is no -dbg package for NM, you need to recompile it.
