Adrian, your bug sounds exactly like mine (#529830), down to the verison numbers fo all components you tried. You should be able to get a workaround by downgrading to xserver-xorg-video-radeon/1:6.12.2-1. I tried bisecting the changes between the two versions, but my results were inconsistent.
