/lib/udev/gpsd.hotplug.wrapper executes /lib/dev/gpsd.hotplug; the latter
checks the environment for GPSD_OPTIONS and GPSD_SOCKETS.
The wrapper script needs

export GPSD_OPTIONS
export GPSD_SOCKET

in the if [ -r /etc/default/gpsd ] block.
As of now these options are ignored.
