Package: privoxy Version: 3.0.15-2 Severity: wishlist Tags: patch Firefox (and thus Iceweasel) since 3.0.10 has a bug[1] in which it will wait forever for a javascript file to load if the SSL proxy (e.g. privoxy) returns a failure status code in response to the CONNECT. Since javascript must be loaded for page rendering to proceed, this means some sites are completely unusable as they never render for waiting for the javascript that will never come.
A patch is available in the upstream bug tracker[2] to add a configuration option to enable Privoxy to return a "200 OK" response in this situation, which effectively works around this issue. Please consider picking this up until it gets into an official upstream version or until Firefox fixes their bug. Thanks.
