Beyond that I'd say that it's badly maintained or unmaintained. There is no integration work being done, no documentation and no responses whatsoever from the maintainer on its bugs. Plus, it's been only in experimental for over a year while it is mature enough for other distributions to ship with it by default. This is obviously a tricky package; it needs integration with multiple packages and affects the branding of the distribution as a whole. Filing an ITP, uploading the package and then forgetting about it (or uploading a couple of new upstream versions) certainly doesn't help overcome those challenges or provide anything of value to our users. Moreover, it gives a false sense of maintainership and obstructs other developers from taking a shot. Please properly maintain this package or orphan it.
