Please include a wrapper for editing patches. I wrote a simple wrapper that also includes basic support for vcs integration here: bzr get https://code.edge.launchpad.net/~mvo/+junk/edit-patch (I'm happy to send the file itself, but I'm still adding features, so I thought that a branch is a better idea :) It contains support for quilt, cdbs, dpatch (dbs is missing). The only vcs that is supported is bzr (that is the one I use). But it should be trivial to expand it to other popular ones like git or svn. It also adds a example patch header. I hope you like the idea, please let me know if there is anything that you feel should be added.
