I'v looked a bit at this bug report, being also interested in SSL support, I
saw your reference to bug 180886.
This bug, in turn, refers to [0], which, if you look at the bottom of the
report page, suggest using

Severity: wishlist
Squid is presently build without SSL support
As a result it cannot be used as a SSL proxy or accept
proxy connections secured by SSL.

please see bug 180886 for details on why squid can't be compiled and
distributed with SSL support.
