Package: mime-support
Version: 3.48-1
Severity: normal

mime-support apparently hasn't been synced with upstream (IANA) for
several years now. The MIME type I've noticed as missing
(application/vnd.olpc-sugar) has been registered at IANA since at least
2007-06-07 [1].

Having proper file extension <-> MIME type mappings by default would
make things a lot easier for operators of HTTP servers that publish
files of this type.

The Fedora git repository mentioned in the original report seems to live
at [2] now (web browsable via [3]). The mime.types file in that
repository contains application/vnd.olpc-sugar [4], so it's at least
more recent than the one shipped by the Debian mime-support package.

I don't know how they sync with IANA, but asking Ville Skyttä
<ville.sky...@iki.fi> (the author of the last commit, titled "Sync with
IANA as of 2011-07-17") sounds like a good idea.
