Bug#576095: nedit: UTF-8 support

tags 576095 wontfix thanks I lack the skill and time to support such a patch, as I understand it is far from finished. Unfortunately upstream does not seem to be interested to implement UTF-8 because heavy rewriting is needed. See for instance:
