Unfortunately this bug will have to remain open for the time being, the
amount of effort to fix it for cron-3.1, is too large to be justified,

after upgrading to squeeze, the job was no longer run and I did not find any
cron related error in /var/log.
what helped was:
crontab -e
:wq
...
... there is an error in
