Package: emacs23-el
Version: 23.2+1-2
Severity: normal
File: /usr/share/emacs/23.2/lisp/gnus/nnrss.el.gz

When asking nnrss to discover a feed from an url, and the url points to
the feed using a relative url, nnrss fails.

Here's what the backtrace looks like when attempting to add a to be
discovered feed url to gnus using gnus-group-make-rss-group with
debug-on-error turned on:

  Debugger entered--Lisp error: (error "Bad url: :/rss.xml")
    signal(error ("Bad url: :/rss.xml"))
    byte-code("^H\204^H^@
\203...@\304\n@\nA\"\210\202...@\305\306^k\"\210\304\207" [debug-on-quit
debug-on-error err url signal message "nnrss: Failed to fetch %s"] 3)
    nnrss-fetch("/rss.xml")
    nnrss-discover-feed("http://xkcd.org/";)
    gnus-group-make-rss-group()
    call-interactively(gnus-group-make-rss-group nil nil)

Without debug-on-error, this message is produced:

  No feeds found for http://xkcd.org/
