Thank you Nico -- I should have uploaded a fix long ago... hopefully later on today I will ACK your commit with a slight modification -- I really do not want to limit to numpy = 1.4, and as a solution I just see smth like [ -x /usr/bin/dh_numpy ] dh_numpy so we could backport without hassle.
