Package: ktranslator Version: 0.4-2 Severity: critical Justification: causes serious data loss
I installed a Spanish dictionary today, and the system's responses started slowing down like some package was hogging the processor. It was so bad that I went to the console. By the time I logged in, my desktop environment had restarted, lossing my unsaved files, and was prompting me to log in. After I logged back in, my up arrow didn't work. Thinking it was the keyboard, I switched to another, and it still didn't work. I restarted and opened KTranslator, but its icon in the notification area was blacked-out. It was just a black square, and it wouldn't give a title pop-up or a right-click context menu. KTranslator was also using 50% of the CPU. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.34.1-libre-custom (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages ktranslator depends on: ii gocr 0.48-1 A command line OCR ii kdelibs4c2a 4:3.5.10.dfsg.1-3 core libraries and binaries for al ii libc6 2.11.2-2 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libqt3-mt 3:3.3.8b-7 Qt GUI Library (Threaded runtime v ii libstdc++6 4.4.4-7 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libx11-6 2:1.3.3-3 X11 client-side library ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3.4.dfsg-3 compression library - runtime ktranslator recommends no packages.
