Lintian already appears to ignore symlinks for this check. I think
Lintian correctly emits these tags for tipa/2:1.3-14. Looking at the
contents they appear to be real files and not symlinks.

also in xfonts-tipa
(and a few dozens of similar warnings). But in fact, xfonts-tipa ships
only symlinks to the files
