My default font is serif, since I have deleted dejavu and bistream fonts from the default installation, serif default to Nimbus Roman No9 L. I have set several substitute fonts, some of them Sazanami Mincho and Arpic Uming CN. But on websites some chinese and japanese characters are displayed as empty rectangle boxes, the problem is fixed when I set the default font in Konqueror to Sazanami/Arpic.
