"Does also allow" is not idiomatic: "It also allows you..." is better. Less definite suggestions: I'd probably not contract the "it is" at the start of the second paragraph and I'd probably write "the JACK Audio Connection Kit" or just "JACK" (since you don't write out the expansion of ALSA).
