Hi,
I forward the problem upstream and was fixed in the master[1] and
1.10[2] branches, so it will be fixed in any release after 1.10.2 (so
1.10.3 or so).

currently[1] cairo/exp does not on compile on Debian/Hurd.
The problem is that the support for LD_PRELOAD is not enabled on hurd,
so cairo-trace is not compiled and
