Right before seeing this Bug, I wrote a Issue-Report to Pingdom (a Uptime monitoring service), since their checks were failing on SSL-enabled sites with 1.4.28-3+b1.
This is, what I got back... "It seems like it has something to do with the chunked connection type being used; when setting a connection header to "close", the check will work as supposed to." (credits go to Aron from Pingdom Support) Bruno
