dang I didnt' read all. you should only see that for entering runlevel one. are you sure you didn't reboot ? sulogin prints that message mabye it's because you specified no time? it is remotely possible new init scripts somehow get you to runlevel 1, init(1) invokes sulogin(1), and reboot i
