Package: systemd Version: 37-1 Followup-For: Bug #634472 Hi,
After the update of systemd version 29-1.1 to 37-1, dbus is not started and all the programs that depend on them are not started. Network-manager does not start, gdm3 and gnome3 do not start. In the log: [ 12.122095] systemd[1]: Found ordering cycle on basic.target/start [ 12.122182] systemd[1]: Walked on cycle path to sockets.target/start [ 12.122259] systemd[1]: Walked on cycle path to dbus.socket/start [ 12.122334] systemd[1]: Walked on cycle path to sysinit.target/start [ 12.122411] systemd[1]: Walked on cycle path to auditd.service/start [ 12.122486] systemd[1]: Walked on cycle path to basic.target/start [ 12.122563] systemd[1]: Breaking ordering cycle by deleting job dbus.socket/start [ 12.122681] systemd[1]: Found ordering cycle on basic.target/start [ 12.122758] systemd[1]: Walked on cycle path to sysinit.target/start [ 12.122834] systemd[1]: Walked on cycle path to auditd.service/start [ 12.122909] systemd[1]: Walked on cycle path to basic.target/start [ 12.122984] systemd[1]: Breaking ordering cycle by deleting job auditd.service/start [ 12.123098] systemd[1]: Found ordering cycle on basic.target/start [ 12.123175] systemd[1]: Walked on cycle path to sysinit.target/start [ 12.123251] systemd[1]: Walked on cycle path to setserial.service/start [ 12.123327] systemd[1]: Walked on cycle path to basic.target/start [ 12.123403] systemd[1]: Breaking ordering cycle by deleting job setserial.service/start [ 12.123524] systemd[1]: Found ordering cycle on basic.target/start [ 12.123600] systemd[1]: Walked on cycle path to sysinit.target/start [ 12.123676] systemd[1]: Walked on cycle path to decnet.service/start [ 12.123751] systemd[1]: Walked on cycle path to basic.target/start [ 12.123826] systemd[1]: Breaking ordering cycle by deleting job decnet.service/start I removed the package setserial, but it has not solved the problem: [ 5.410826] systemd[1]: Found ordering cycle on basic.target/start [ 5.410915] systemd[1]: Walked on cycle path to sockets.target/start [ 5.410992] systemd[1]: Walked on cycle path to dbus.socket/start [ 5.411067] systemd[1]: Walked on cycle path to sysinit.target/start [ 5.411143] systemd[1]: Walked on cycle path to auditd.service/start [ 5.411219] systemd[1]: Walked on cycle path to basic.target/start [ 5.411294] systemd[1]: Breaking ordering cycle by deleting job dbus.socket/start [ 5.411417] systemd[1]: Found ordering cycle on basic.target/start [ 5.411494] systemd[1]: Walked on cycle path to sysinit.target/start [ 5.411570] systemd[1]: Walked on cycle path to auditd.service/start [ 5.411645] systemd[1]: Walked on cycle path to basic.target/start [ 5.411721] systemd[1]: Breaking ordering cycle by deleting job auditd.service/start [ 5.411847] systemd[1]: Found ordering cycle on basic.target/start [ 5.411923] systemd[1]: Walked on cycle path to sysinit.target/start [ 5.412037] systemd[1]: Walked on cycle path to decnet.service/start [ 5.412117] systemd[1]: Walked on cycle path to basic.target/start [ 5.412193] systemd[1]: Breaking ordering cycle by deleting job decnet.service/start I removed the packages auditd (1.7.18-1) and dnet-common (2.57), dbus, network-manager and gdm3 start. Gdm3 starts correctly, if I login it seems that Gnome3 starts, and then I return to the gdm3 screen. But that is another bug report.
