You can consider not fixing this for Wheezy if you like, but many
people have accents in their name and don't use US-ASCII. Most common
users won't go much farther and your tool is gonna be useless.
Considering having properly written bug reports a must in order to
improve our distro, i guess this bug is _at_least_ important. It
really seems we are not working in the same direction. Considering
encoding problems have plagued this tool for _years_ (remember
#219738), this is a real shame.
