(It also needs an icon! Would welcome a pdf-presenter-console.svg
scalable icon file, perhaps a pastiche of a laptop and a big screen in
front of a PDF icon taken from the openclipart-svg package.)

GNOME and KDE file managers don't offer pdf_presenter_console as an
alternative when opening PDF files. To use it, one has to go through
the console. By installing an appropriate .desktop file, this would
be made easier
