Build-dependency on python is insufficient. As per dh_python2
manpage, it should be (= 2.6.6-3~).
Fixed.
Similarly, Depends of the binary package is not sufficient. Please
use ${python:Depends} (instead of hard-coded python (= 2.6)),
so that dh_python2 can generate the dependency
Dear Mentors,
It's been almost four months now since I first uploaded this package,
and the last reply I got is almost eight weeks old. Heybuddy is a great
piece of software and I'd very much like to get it into Debian.

auto_install overrides (it builds exactly fine without it, so I guess it is
run already by --with python2).
The new package is up at mentors:

Dear Jakub and Benoît,
Thanks for your help. I've learned quite a lot from fiddling with debhelper.
There is a new revision of heybuddy up at mentors.debian.net:
http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/h/heybuddy/heybuddy_0.2.3-1.dsc

- Modules are not re-byte-compiled when the default Python version changes.
* How should I solve this? I understand the problem, but scroogling
around hasn't shown me any tips.
The whole point of Python helpers (e.g. dh_python2)
block 660125 with 660128
thanks

only run during configure.
What's wrong with running it unconditionally?
As far as I know, none of the Python helpers in the wild create

Nothing wrong per se, it just seemed unnecessary...
