I am experiencing the same problem. I have the latest version of python-kde4 installed (4:4.7.4-4). In my case there is no synaptics system tray icon, which was used as a workaround by others. Is there something obvious I am missing? Soren -- Soren Stoutner so...@stoutner.com 623-262-6169
