Package: initscripts Version: 2.88dsf-22 Severity: normal Many DDs appear to think that tmpfs-for-/tmp only happens with new installations, not on upgrade to wheezy. This is not actually the case at present.
Either the behaviour should be changed, so that it *does* only happen for new installations, or the wheezy release notes should clearly point to the change. (Since previous default installations had a certain amount of swap, then a single partition taking up the rest of the disk, but users may now wish to increase swap to allow a larger tmpfs for /tmp, the release notes should also include instructions on how to decrease the size of a non-LVM root partition in order to make more room for swap.) -- Moray -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid Architecture: powerpc (ppc) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-2-powerpc Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages initscripts depends on: ii coreutils 8.13-3 ii debianutils 4.2.1 ii libc6 2.13-27 ii lsb-base 3.2-28.1 ii mount 2.20.1-4 ii sysv-rc 2.88dsf-22 ii sysvinit-utils 2.88dsf-22 ii ucf 3.0025+nmu2 Versions of packages initscripts recommends: ii e2fsprogs 1.42.1-2 ii psmisc 22.16-1 initscripts suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
