This package has upstream that is dead for over 7 years. There are a few bugs that cannot be solved easily. It is not ready for the future as it cannot be follow the ongoing Ruby transition nor does it support Ruby 1.9.1, the upcoming stable Ruby version. Finally, the high popcon value is due to the fact that it was a depend of libruby-extras, a package that also has been removed.
