The libavcodec plugin in upstream VLC version 2.1 does not link against
libva-x11 anymore, only libva. Thus the plugin can be moved back to the
vlc-nox package,

That is probably a phonon-vlc bug of its own. There is not much phonon-vlc
can do without the 'vlc' package. It cannot decode
