Package: libmysqld-pic Version: 5.5.23-2 Severity: important Hello,
it is no secret that OpenSSL licence is not GPL compatible so MySQLe depending on OpenSSL will certainly cause licensing nightmare for GPL applications which want to embed it. What is more, OpenSSL does not have much use for MySQL Embedded by design, does it? This OpenSSL problem is also valid for libmysqlclient as well. I don't know if you did any analysis of libmysqlclient rdepends licensing before adding OpenSSL... -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (110, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-2-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=lt_LT.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=lt_LT.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages libmysqld-pic depends on: ii libmysqlclient-dev 5.5.23-2 libmysqld-pic recommends no packages. libmysqld-pic suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
