Hello,

it is no secret that OpenSSL licence is not GPL compatible so MySQLe depending
on OpenSSL will certainly cause licensing nightmare for GPL applications which
want to embed it. What is more, OpenSSL does not have much use for MySQL 
Embedded
by design, does it?

This OpenSSL problem is also valid for libmysqlclient as well. I don't know if 
you
did any analysis of libmysqlclient rdepends licensing before adding OpenSSL...
